The Lux Express fleet has been expanded with new double-decker Lux Express Superior buses, taking travel comfort to a new level.
Nine modern Neoplan Skyliner buses have been operating regular routes between Tallinn and Tartu since May 26, 2025. Each bus has a capacity of 63 seats. The buses run hourly: starting from 6:00 AM in Tartu and from 7:00 AM in Tallinn, making over 30 trips per day in both directions.
The main goal of upgrading the bus fleet is to address the issue of seat shortages during peak travel times on the Tallinn–Tartu route. An additional 500 seats are now available on the line daily. This helps prevent situations where buses are fully booked and alternative transport is overcrowded.
“The successful launch of the double-decker buses is an important step in developing comfortable and accessible connections between Estonia’s two largest cities. We are pleased to offer passengers more seats and modern transport, while also easing the burden on roads and other modes of transportation,” said Ingmar Roos, a member of the Lux Express management board.
